Ljud-djungel med Great Learning Orchestra

Ljuddjungel
Projektet är inspirerat av David Tudors stycke Rainforest och är ett samarbete mellan Konstfack-kursen Sound in Interaction och Great Learning Orchestra. I djungeln finns många olika ljudvarelser som samexisterar, de kan lyssna och reagera (vilket man måste om man vill överleva), de manifesterar fonetiskt sin närvaro samtidigt som de lämnar utrymme för andra att uttrycka sig och kommunicera. Varje musiker designar sin egen ljudvarelse, gjord av ett begränsat antal analoga (instrument, vanliga ljudobjekt, elektromekaniska enheter) eller digitala ljudkomponenter och gester. Vi som besökare bjuds att gå omkring i utställningen och uppleva en varierande ljudbild, precis som i en djungel.

A sonic jungle
Welcome to a somewhat different concert. We are invited to walk around in a complex sound environment inhabited by sound creatures. The project is inspired by David Tudor's piece Rainforest and is a collaboration between the Konstfack course Sound in Interaction and the Great Learning Orchestra. In the jungle there are many different sound creatures that coexist, they can listen and react (which you must if you want to survive), they phonetically manifest their presence while leaving space for others to express themselves and communicate. Each musician designs his own sound creature, made of a limited number of analog (instruments, common sound objects, electromechanical devices) or digital sound components and gestures.
